His works, be they landscapes, portraits or genre paintings, seek as essential the veracity of the captured, principle of observation, living movement of the brush.
The sketches "En el Don" with their images of the river at dawn and dusk, colorful golden water and sky, small boat lost on the surface of the great river, end up forming a mature picture that later appears in the most prestigious Muscovite exhibitions. "Evening on the Don" is part of the exhibition of the main exhibition hall of Moscow and is acquired by the Fund of the Russian Ministry of Culture.

"The Old Man"
We see a framed oil painting depicting an older man whose life experience is reflected in his face and gaze. The work is made with visible and energetic strokes that add texture and vitality to the image. The colour range is warm, dominated by shades of white, ochre and brown, with hints of black that define the contour and shape of the beard and hair.
The man is depicted in half profile, looking to the right. His expression is thoughtful, with eyes that seem to reflect wisdom and a rich and complex personal history. The light touches his face in a way that enhances his white and thick beard, and creates a play of lights and shadows that bring depth to the image. Her bald white hair crowns her head, suggesting a lack of vanity in her appearance.
The use of light and shadow in the composition is masterful, directing the gaze through the face of the man and towards his eyes, which are the emotional center of the portrait. Each brush stroke contributes to the impression that we are before a real person, with a look that invites reflection and perhaps imagine the experiences that have marked his life.

"Still Life with Oranges"
"In this work, painted in oil on canvas, is a classic example of the still life genre, executed with a technique reminiscent of post-impressionism, characterized by distinct brushstrokes and a bold use of color and light.
The composition of the painting focuses on a series of objects placed on a table. In the center, there is a plate holding two ripe oranges, whose vibrant orange hues stand out against the deep blue background and the table's surface. Next to the plate lies a knife with a brown handle, laying diagonally, adding a sense of balance to the arrangement of the elements.
To the left of the oranges, there is a dark-colored pitcher with subtle reflections suggesting a metallic material. The handle and spout of the pitcher cast defined shadows, adding depth to the work. Beside it, a transparent glass with a spoon inside captures the light and shows the artist's skill in representing different textures and surfaces.
The color palette used by Boris is bold, with strong contrasts that guide the gaze through the work. The dark blue background acts as an excellent contrast, making the objects in the foreground project towards the viewer.
This still life not only captures the static beauty of everyday objects but also reflects light and shadow in a way that invites contemplation. It is a piece that will surely attract collectors and art enthusiasts for its classic execution and vibrant use of color."

"Woman in Tipical Dress"
"The work portrays a woman seated in a relaxed and contemplative pose, dressed in a traditional Russian outfit full of color and detail.
The figure of the woman occupies the center of the canvas, with the light focused on her face and the upper parts of her attire, immediately drawing the viewer's gaze. She wears a headscarf adorned with a variety of bright colors that stand out against the softer tones of the background. Her blouse is white, with floral details adding a delicate touch to the ensemble.
The woman's dress is a deep red tone, with colorful stripes decorating the hem, adding a vibrant spectrum to the edge of the garment. The texture of the dress is palpable, with thick and generous brushstrokes giving the sensation of heavy and richly textured fabric.
The background of the painting is neutral and blurred, allowing the figure and her clothing to capture all the attention. The technique used by the painter is impressionistic, with visible brushstrokes and a play of light and shadow that gives volume and life to the scene.
This portrait is not only a celebration of traditional attire, but also an expression of the character and dignity of the woman represented. The artist's ability to capture the essence of tradition and individual beauty makes this piece especially appealing to those interested in fashion, culture, and 20th-century Russian figurative art."

"A March Day"
"The work captures a winter scene, where snow still covers the ground but the trees begin to show the first signs of color before full bloom.
The artist has employed a palette of cool and warm colors to represent the changing light and atmosphere of a March day. The sky, painted with shades of light blue and hints of clouds, suggests the freshness of the air and the clarity of the sky after a period of winter chill. The trees are depicted with vibrant brushstrokes and colors that range from the white and light brown of birches to the dark greens and browns of conifers.
The snow, reflecting hues of blue, lilac, and orange, demonstrates the painter's skill in capturing the translucent quality and brilliance of the snowy landscape, even with the presence of shadows cast by the trees. In the middle part of the work, a human figure is observed dressed with a touch of red color, providing a focal point and a human scale to the expansive landscape.
This piece is a standout element in Boris's collection, offering a window to nature and the seasonal changes captured by the hand of an artist who has the ability to evoke the ephemeral beauty of a specific day in the past."

"Catamaran in the Lagoon"
"The work depicts a calm and serene seascape where a traditional catamaran is positioned in the center of the composition, anchored in the calm waters of a lagoon.
The catamaran, with its double-hulled structure and single mast, is detailed, showing the textures of the material it is made of and the functionality of its design. The boat is equipped with a sail that is lowered and gathered around the mast, and the earthy tones of the wood and fibers contrast with the blues and whites of the aquatic and celestial surroundings.
The water reflects the hues of the sky, blending blues, greys, and flashes of light that indicate the presence of the sun hidden among scattered clouds. This interplay of reflections creates a water surface that seems to move gently, capturing the essence of the peaceful Polynesian environment.
In the distance, the horizon subtly divides the sea from the sky, with a band of darker tones suggesting the vastness of the ocean. A small human figure can be seen sitting at the edge of the catamaran, adding a human scale and a point of interest that enlivens the scene.
The work is framed in a simple frame that does not compete with the painting, but complements it and allows the focus to remain on the serenity and beauty of the captured landscape.
This painting invites the viewer to contemplate the tranquility and timeless beauty of Polynesia, and would be a valuable addition for any collector looking for works that reflect the peace and stillness of seascapes."

"The Morning"
"The work is an intimate and detailed portrait of a young woman in an interior space illuminated by the natural morning light, whose face captures attention with a direct and thoughtful gaze. She has blonde hair that flows softly downwards as she appears to be brushing it with her hands. Her features are painted with a mix of delicacy and firmness, highlighting her youth and the stillness of the moment. The light entering through the window bathes her face and shoulders, creating soft shadows and enhancing the texture of her white blouse with puffed sleeves, evoking a sense of freshness and simplicity.
The young woman's dress is striking, with a skirt featuring a vibrant pattern of blues, purples, and touches of yellow, over what seems to be a yellow underlayer. The contrast between the simpler top and the colorful skirt adds dynamism to the portrait.
Behind the figure, an open window reveals a landscape of green trees and diffused light, suggesting a clear and peaceful day. A vase with purple and white flowers rests on the windowsill, adding an organic element and a burst of color that complements the overall palette of the work.
The technique used by the artist is impressionistic, with visible brushstrokes and a skill for capturing the quality of light and atmosphere.
This portrait is a celebration of youth and beauty in everyday moments, and would be a valuable addition to any contemporary art collection, interesting for those who seek works that capture the essence of life and light in their purest and simplest form."

"Harvest"
"The work captures the essence of an agricultural scene, typical of the mid-20th-century landscapes, where human activity and nature coexist in laborious harmony.
The canvas is horizontally divided into bands of colors representing the sky, the distant horizon, and the field in the foreground. The sky, painted with soft shades of blue and light brushstrokes of clouds, conveys the tranquility of a clear day. Below the sky, the horizon is marked by a row of trees and bushes that provide a contrast in color and shape with the open field.
The dominant portion of the painting is the golden field of the harvest, detailed with tones of yellow, ochre, and brown that reflect the sunlight and the richness of the fertile land. One can observe sheaves of wheat already harvested, neatly arranged, ready for processing. In the distance, a tractor is glimpsed, small in scale but significant, indicating the presence of human activity in working the land.
The artist's technique is impressionistic, characterized by expressive brushstrokes and the capture of natural light, creating a sense of immersion in the rural atmosphere. The painting is framed in an ornate dark wood frame with embossed gold details, enhancing the classic aesthetic and historical importance of the work.
"The Harvest" is a nostalgic representation of agricultural life, a piece that evokes the era of the 1950s in Russia with a rich and warm portrayal of the countryside, appealing to those interested in rural history and landscape representations of life in the countryside."

"Still Life with Thorny Flowers"
"This artwork is a still life that displays a rich palette of colors and a dynamic composition that captures the viewer's attention.
The painting depicts a table on which various objects are arranged, including a dark ceramic pitcher, a white bowl with blue edges, a metal cup, a candle, a red apple, and a piece of fabric with a geometric pattern in vibrant red, yellow, and blue that drapes across the composition, adding a strong visual element and texture to the ensemble. Behind these objects, there is an arrangement of thorny flowers that introduce a natural contrast to the man-made elements.
The thorny flowers are represented with great detail, showing their unique textures and the complexity of their forms. They stand out against the dark background, contributing an organic element to the composition and contrasting with the geometry and vivid colors of the fabric.
The light illuminating the scene is soft yet clearly directed, creating shadows and highlights that add depth and volume to the objects, and highlighting the texture of the fabric and ceramics. The brushstrokes are loose and expressive, typical of a modern impressionist style, capturing the essence of classic still lifes with a contemporary sensibility.
This still life could attract collectors and art enthusiasts who appreciate the mix of traditional and modern elements, as well as those interested in works that explore the interaction of light and texture with vibrant color expression."
